Tie Down's STS Screens offer a non-penetrating solution for skylight safety without compromising the skylight's structural integrity. Installation is quick and straightforward, connecting with 2 5/16 in. zinc-plated threaded rods installed on the skylight's short sides, secured in place with 1 in. aluminum clips and ½ in. hex head screws. This system uses two aluminum extruded rails and two aluminum clips for a secure fit. STS Screens feature a sturdy construction, with screen material options of 187 and .250 diameter 304 stainless steel or galvanized carbon steel wire in a 4 in. x 4 in. grid. These screens ensure compliance with OSHA 1910.29(e) and CAL-OSHA standards. With a product weight of 21 lbs., STS Screens come in various dimensions, ranging from 12 in. to 70 in. wide and 12 in. to 128 in. long. They provide effective fall protection by preventing individuals from accidentally falling through skylights, enhancing safety in elevated work environments.
