Ed Marquardt is the V.P. of Sales for Safety / Roofing with Tie Down. Utilizing his vast experience in building brands tied to the construction distribution market, Ed’s role includes the oversight and execution of an aggressive sales initiative along with building the marketing and branding message. With a strong dedication to brand growth, Ed pushes the boundaries of product development and marketing to help expand sales to existing and new channels.
Ed is no stranger to the construction distribution market. Having spent over 25 years in the industry, initially as a territory sales manager and then moving into an executive role, Ed excelled at a having a panache for driving organizational growth and change. With his expertise, Ed led the growth of what was a regional brand into a nationally recognized force, driving sales from $3M to $65M in nine years. With a strong commitment to service, Ed believes in the critical importance of the customer and the role they play in a businesses success. “Without the customers support, businesses are lifeless.”
Prior to starting his career with Tie Down, Ed spent 10 years as the president of Guardian Fall Protection and built that brand into the largest privately held fall protection company in the U.S.
